RustProof Data -- Making It Easier to Enjoy Data
RustProof Data is a platform geared towards Data Scientists and other data enthusiasts. Our goal is to provide easy and direct access to a large amount of data in the public domain, and make the tools to work with the data accessible and easy to use. We handle finding and sanitizing the data, keeping it updated and let you simply decide how to use the data!
We collect, process, and provide data from public data sources, such as OpenStreetMap.org the U.S. Census Bureau, and NOAA. We can pre-load this data into your personal PostgreSQL database to make it easily accessible either from our tools (see below) or from tools on your own hardware.
We embrace tools that are open source or otherwise free to use. The RustProof Data platform provides you with some of the best tools for working with data from start to finish.
Each account is provisioned with a PostgreSQL 9.3 database server including PostGIS to provide powerful spatial data analysis.
Combining Python 3.4 with Jupyter notebooks allows for a powerful and interactive data analysis platform. The Python environment is loaded with many of the best modules for working with data. These modules include:
- and more!
If you find there are modules you need that are not included please contact us with the details and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
What Makes Us Different?
What separates RustProof Labs from others is we give you direct access to the database, providing powerful querying, filtering, or other "data chewing" that is best suited for a database. Further, each account has a dedicated server providing you with the resources and security you need.
NOTE: It's up to you to ensure you use the proper copyrights with any works created using the data we provide.
How to Get Started
RustProof Data is currently in Beta testing. We are offering access to our Beta services for free until we go live with our final product!
If you're interested, please contact us and we will work with you to set up your free beta testing account.
